If we’d realised how much fun prawn fishing was going to be, we would have set off a lot earlier! It was a dull day, with rain threatening but not actually happening, so we sat around the house all morning (except for James and Sherry, who went into Taupo for lunch). Because of the weather, they turfed us out of the prawn farm at 4pm. We should have gone in the morning so we could have cooked our catch for lunch. Still, we managed to each catch a prawn, and James made yummy garlic prawns for dinner.
We called in at the Honey Hive on the way home – and then discovered a bee-keeper selling much cheaper honey at the Taupo markets the next morning.
